Four hundred and fifty seats,
one majority.

Russia elects a President every six years and a 450-seat State Duma every five. United Russia, the party that backs President Putin, has been the largest party in the Duma since 2003 and has held an outright majority since 2007. In September 2026 it won 349 seats — more than the 300 needed to change the Constitution — in a vote held without OSCE observers and after the Supreme Court removed the anti-war Yabloko party's list from the ballot.
